I had the privilege of growing up in a military home. It was a wonderful experience and it gave me the opportunity to learn the worship styles and traditions of different church families from all over the country. 

I worked as a youth minister in Alabama and Tennessee. In 2000 I started preaching and I have preached for congregations in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. I received my B.A. in Biblical Counseling from Faulkner University and received my Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty Theological Seminary.

I am blessed to be married to my best friend Trista and God has blessed us with two wonderful boys.

Philosophy Of Ministry

Ministry should be geared to attract people in our community to trust Christ as their Messiah so that they will: 
    

     Magnify God through pure worship, 

 

     Embrace the Family of God,

     Mature in their relationship with Christ, and

     Help equip the saints for a mission in the world and a ministry in the church.

Even though this is the ministry of the church, I believe that God has allowed me a great blessing to work in His Kingdom, and reside in His Body. With this great privilege comes responsibility.

First and foremost, a minister must love people. God has so richly poured out His love on me and I am compelled to share that love and compassion with everyone I come in contact with. 

I believe I have a great responsibility to be a teacher. There are so many things clamoring for my time and attention but it is my responsibility to study and be prepared so that I may teach others about their sin and the loving God who can rescue them for that sin. God has granted me the opportunity to do this one on one as well as from the pulpit, where I try to prepare the body to face the difficult task of living out the kingdom of God in their daily lives. 

I believe that as a minister I am called upon to be a vision caster. Through the Word of God, I see how we as individual members of the Body as well as the Body as a whole should be and can be. I want to bring that vision to the church in a way that breeds excitement and faith in God and what He can do through our lives. 

As a minister, I am a fellow-traveler. I honestly admit that I am a sinner saved by the Grace of God. And since God saved me out of His righteousness, not my own, I am privileged to walk with those in the same struggle as I am and “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.”

Finally, I am allowed to serve as an example of a Christian Husband, Father, Brother, Son, and Man. I am by no means perfect, but I am a perfect example of a man who struggles to live out his faith in a fallen world.
